Addressing five common
difficult questions that are raised
in relation to our faith These web pages contain five
sermons preached at St Michael's Church over the first five weeks of
Lent 2007. Each one considers a different difficult common question
frequently raised in relation to our faith. This sermon series went
along side our running of the Church Pastoral Aid society (CPAS)
Lost for Words course during Lent 2007 at St Michael's. Lost for
Words was created in a local church setting to help ordinary
Christians to talk about their faith, and has been used by hundreds
of churches across the UK. At the heart of Lost for Words is the
idea that whatever the age, whatever the church there is a common
problem, people are lost for words when trying to share their faith.
In four of the course sessions, the Lost for Words groups looked at
the one of the common difficult questions frequently raised in
relation to our faith. Then on the following Sunday morning we had
readings and preaching on that specific question to help us learn
and grow in our responses and understanding.
