St. Michael's Church - Church Activities
Reading a bookBookstall

The Bookstall makes available a varied selection of around 40 books on the first Sunday of each month after the Parish Communion. The books are chosen from the wide stock held at SPCK bookshop in Winchester, with 10% of the sales going to St. Michael's. Most interests are covered, from children's stories, spiritual guides and religious humour to monastic traditions and prayer.

Bottle and Glass of WineSocial Events

There is a social element to every activity at St. Michael's. However, social events are one of the main arms of the Missions Committee's fundraising strategy and many of the social events in the church are organised by members of that committee. Such events have included quiz evenings, themed bring and share meals, slide shows, rambles, coffee mornings, and jumble sales.

Events organised by others include an annual walking weekend over the late May bank holiday, occasional parties and outings to local restaurants.
